I'm a journalist interested in political economy, corporate ​news, markets, and social issues,. My body of work is found ​online, on TV, Facebook, Spotify, and TikTok. I am ​constantly looking for stories and data that people and ​people in power need to know.


I am currently a multimedia business reporter for Rappler, ​Southeast Asia's Nobel Prize newsroom.


Prior to this, I have worked as a news producer for ​Bloomber​g TV Philippines and GMA Network.

In 2021, I was recognized by the ​prestigious Society of Publishers in ​Asia for my reporting in women's ​issues amid the coronavirus ​pandemic.


I looked into how the police took ​advantage of one of the world’s ​strictest pandemic-related ​lockdowns to further abuse women ​in the flesh trade.

Online gambling, ​China's ​influence, and ​the Philippine ​economy

I have deep-dive and investigative reports about ​online gambling, how the industry changed Metro ​Manila's economy, as well as how it strained relations ​between the Philippines and China.


I have also written about Chinese loans and how it ​shaped policies.

Best in statistical ​reporting

I was recognized for best statistical reporting in online media ​at the 10th National Statistics Month Media Awards.


The award is given by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) ​to journalists “promoting and popularizing official statistical ​information.”


Some of my winning articles were about how climate change ​pushed farmers out of agribusiness, the effects of inflation on ​poor families amid the pandemic-induced recession, and how ​former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s policies toward ​China shaped the Philippine economy.

I was among the journalists tapped by the International ​Consortium of Investigative Journalists who helped comb ​through millions of documents in what's now called the ​Pandora Papers,.


With 11.9 million leaked documents and 2.9 terabytes of data , ​it is he largest investigation in journalism history, exposing a ​shadow financial system that benefited the world’s most rich ​and powerful.
